Lafayette Blue Cave System - Lafayette County, Florida
A re-survey of the Lafayette Blue Spring / Green Sink / Snake Sink cave
system is currently underway by Kelly Jessop and Jim Womble. This system
contains some 25 known openings, and literally thousands of feet of passage. The
goal is to add detail lacking in the original map by Exley, et.al. and to survey
new tunnels discovered since the original map was published..
Manatee Springs – Levy County Florida
Surveying in Manatee Springs is being done by Brett Hemphill, Andrew Pitkin,
Michael Poucher, and Marc Singer with the help of a host of support divers. The
goal is obtain a complete survey of all the known passages in Manatee with
details on passage configuration and flow patterns.
