On April 8, 2004 Public Relations Chair, Richard Hicks, gave a cave diving talk to Aquatic Obsession, a local dive shop in St. Petersburg. Most of the attendees were part of a spear fishing and open water diving club. The was about education, safety, training and conservation and was to present a general overview of cave diving. It was a good turnout with about 40 people present. The dive shop was put into communication with local NACD instructors and about 4 people were interested in taking a cavern class.
