Third Annual Midwest Social

The third annual Midwest Social was on 17 July, 2004 at Roubidoux Spring Park in Waynesville, MO. It was a success. Slim and friends did a preliminary dive on Friday to check out conditions and run a line in the dome above the stairwell. There was low flow and about 25 feet of visibility. Saturday was a little warm, but the rains held back and it was a great day for diving. There was a cooler of Gatorade and everyone had brought sandwiches. Diane Shirley shared brownies she had baked. There were about a dozen divers, the pool was open all day and everyone there was awarded some kind of prize from the bag of goodies. NACD donated several items that were left over from the Cannonball Cave cleanup as gifts.
